Join us after work every Third Thursday for special extended Museum hours from 5 to 7 p.m.! Explore the exhibitions, enjoy happy hour food and drinks in The Star Cafe, and connect to Texas through unique interactive experiences. Different activities are offered each month. Museum garage parking is free after 5:00 p.m.
Explore the vast beauty of the Texas landscape through the lens of our new special exhibition Art of Texas State Parks. This exhibition celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Texas State Park System with a collection of works drawn and painted by Texas artists that highlight Texas' diverse geography.
Schedule of events:
- 5:30 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. In Conversation: An insider's view of Texas State Parks: Hear the stories of two Texas Parks and Wildlife Department leaders who manage and conserve Texas' most wild places.
- 6:00 pm. – 7:30 pm. Landscape Paint and Sip Class: Connect with your inner artist and create a beautiful landscape painting inspired by Art of Texas State Parks.
Public programs at the Bullock Museum explore relevant history and celebrate the culture that has shaped our modern world. Through engaging discussions, live performances, and experiential activities guests are invited to see local connections and discover how Texas fits into a broader national story.
