Event Details

Join us after work every Third Thursday for special extended Museum hours from 5 to 7 p.m.! Explore the exhibitions, enjoy happy hour food and drinks in The Star Cafe, and connect to Texas through unique interactive experiences. Different activities are offered each month. Museum garage parking is free after 5:00 p.m.

Celebrate Women's History Month and spend an evening connecting with the pioneering women of NASA's space exploration history. Our evening begins with a panel discussion between five remarkable women who have contributed to the success of the James Webb Space Telescope. Hear from scientists Amber Straughn, Stefanie Milam, Knicole Colón, and Macarena Garcia Marin about the history and progress of Webb in a conversation moderated by Laura Betz, the Webb Communications Team Lead from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.

Stick around after the panel discussion for a special screening of Hidden Figures, the 2016 biographical drama about three Black Female Mathematicians: Katherine Johnson, Mary Jackson, and Dorothy Vaughan, whose work was critically important to space exploration and civil rights progress in the 1960s and 1970s.
