About Family Programs

Family programs provide educational and engaging activities for young Texans and their caregivers. Events are designed to bring families together, spark conversations and provide opportunities for growth and development.

At the Bullock Museum, programs have been a place for the community to gather and celebrate culture, explore new ideas, and share experiences together. During the COVID-19 pandemic, programs still provide an opportunity to bring the community together, even if we are apart. Please join us through virtual programs and enjoy lessons, discussions and activities with your family, friends and neighbors who are also participating from home.

Activity Kit FAQs

Activity kits are SOLD OUT

Where will I pick-up my activity kit?

Kits will be available for curbside pick-up at the Museum between 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Monday, March 15 and Tuesday, March 16. For pick-up, come to the corner of Colorado Street and 18th Street and pull into the bus lane on Colorado Street behind the Museum. When you arrive please text the number in your confirmation email and a staff member will bring your kit to your car.

For staff and guest safety, we will be performing contactless pick-up by wearing masks and gloves and ask that you either open the trunk of your car or wear a mask if we will be placing the bag inside of your car. If the bus lane is full, please proceed around the block until the lane is free. Please do not block traffic.

What if I cannot make any of the pick-up times?

Please contact us and we will do our best to find a time to accommodate you.

Will my materials kits include everything I will need for the activities?

We are able to include almost everything you will need for one child to complete each of the four activities. We will not be providing crayons, markers, pencils, or scissors. For the cowboy/girl Accessorize activity, we will provide some options for attaching your accessories to your hat like pipe cleaners, glue dots, yarn, etc. If you have access to a glue gun, you might find it effective for attaching accessories to your hat.

What if I cannot make it to all of the virtual Spring Break activities?

Each kit will include a set of instructions for how to do each activity. If you miss one of the virtual activities, you can easily follow the directions at home with your child.

I need more kits! Can I pay for more kits with cash when I pick up my original order behind the Museum?

There is a limited quantity of kits for sale. If kits are still available when you arrive to pick up your already paid-for kit(s) then we can direct you to the website to purchase another kit. We cannot accept cash as a form of payment.
