All aboard for a Texas-sized model train display during Spring Break!
Event Details
Enjoy a Texas-size model train display and demonstration. Hear train whistles blow and axles grind as Austin Model Railway Society and Tinplate Trackers of Austin's miniature locomotives chug along tiny rails set in intricate scenes. Children will be mesmerized by miniature-sized model train engines whirling around tracks laid out in the Austin Room on the third floor. Adults may channel their inner engineers as they talk with model train enthusiasts and view expertly crafted model railroad scenes, including detailed cities and towns, rural landscapes, and a mini carnival.
Train model display will be on view
- Friday, March 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Saturday, March 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., or register for Sensory Hour for early access
- Sunday, March 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Monday, March 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

About the Partners
The Tinplate Trackers of Austin, Texas is a 3-rail O-Gauge Model Train Club located in the Austin area. The club participates in a number of model railroading activities and events in Central Texas.
Austin Model Railway Society is an HO scale model railroad club located in the Austin area. They welcome all who share a love for trains to visit or become a member. Their modular layout features the Austin area.
