Create a Horned Lizard magnet using sustainable materials with artist Juliet Whitsett.

Event Details

Join artist Juliet Whitsett as she teaches about threatened and endangered Texas wildlife through creating Texas Horned Lizard magnets using sustainable materials. All materials are provided for this drop-in program. The Kids Make & Create series occurs alternating Wednesdays throughout the summer for ages 6–12. Activities are included with museum admission.

About Family Programs

Family programs provide educational and engaging activities for young Texans and their caregivers. Events are designed to bring families together, spark conversations and provide opportunities for growth and development.

About the Artist

Juliet Whitsett is an Art Educator with an MA in Community-Based Arts Education from the University of Texas-Austin and a BA in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has designed arts and environmental education programs for public institutions such as the High Line, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, the Thinkery, Austin Discovery School, and private organizations domestically and internationally. After her children started school, Juliet transitioned to teach young children, teens, and families out of her home studio.
