High Noon Talk: Texas From Above

Programs

June 5, 2019 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Share the experience of exploring Texas from the clouds.

Program Details

Held on the first Wednesday of every month, High Noon Talks highlight interesting and often untold topics through this casual lunch-time lecture.

Texas From Above co-curator and Texas Monthly contributor Jay B Sauceda piloted a Cessna with a handful of cameras in the cockpit and a lot of classic country music playing in his headset for the project of a lifetime. That trip resulted in roughly 44,000 images covering thousands of miles of Texas landscape. Join Jay B for a talk on the journey, how he came to work on this project and his favorite images from the flight.
