Program Details

Held on the first Wednesday of every month, High Noon Talks highlight interesting and often untold topics through this casual lunch-time lecture.

Join Emilio Zamora, Professor of History at the University of Texas, for a talk on the diary of solider José de la Luz Sáenz.  A dedicated teacher in South Texas before and after the war, Sáenz’s patriotism, his keen observation and his dedication to the cause of equality make this first-hand account a valuable resource for understanding both the war and Mexican-American communities in the early 20th century.
