Event Details

Create your own unique linoleum cut-inspired piece of art with Texas artist Alex George. Learn more about the process of print-making and carve a rubber printing block to take home with you.

Activities are designed for children six years and older. Tickets are $6 for Bullock Museum Member children and $12 for non-members. Class ticket includes Museum admission. Online ticket sales will close on the morning of the event. Onsite ticket sales will be available at the Museum up to the time of the class if there is still capacity. Caregivers are invited to create alongside their children with the purchase of Museum admission and are not required to buy a class ticket to participate.

The Summer Child Art Class is an educational program associated with The Harmon and Harriet Kelley Collection of African American Art: Works on Paper, a special exhibition that features 19th, 20th, and 21st century Black artists. Showcased are intimate drawings, turn-of-the-century watercolors, pastels, bright abstract acrylics, gouaches, and mixed media works. Etchings, lithographs, linoleum cuts, and silkscreens represent artists who worked from the early 20th century to our days.
