Event Details

Drop in for this hands-on program that incorporates movement, play, and tactile learning into engaging experiences where younger children (ages 2-5) can discover something new alongside their caregivers.

Come have fun with Austin Public Library through songs, activities, and stories. Celebrate mother Earth as we wave our hands at the sun, stomp our feet on Texas ground, hold a fist full of bees, sing a Cherokee song, and enjoy a shadow puppet show. If you’re looking for more books connected to our theme, look no further than this list, specially curated by Austin Public Library.

Program is FREE for members or with exhibition admission.

About Family Programs

Family programs provide educational and engaging activities for young Texans and their caregivers. Events are designed to bring families together, spark conversations and provide opportunities for growth and development.

This program is made possible with funding from Humanities Texas and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the federal ARP Act.

The Bullock Museum, a division of the Texas State Preservation Board, is funded by Museum members, donors, and patrons, the Texas State History Museum Foundation, and the State of Texas.
