Spooktacular 2016

Games, treats, and science activities highlight an annual Halloween event

Spooktacular is the Bullock Museum's annual Halloween event held in late October. Costumes are encouraged as children and families enjoy an evening of treats, games, and hands-on art and science activities for kids ages five and up. Everyone receives free admission to the Museum's three floors of interactive exhibitions and special exhibitions and discounts on IMAX® tickets.

The Austin nonprofit Girlstart partners with the Museum to bring its popular science series Spooky Science Extravaganza to Spooktacular. Science projects could include creating dry ice boo bubbles, exploring the structural and chemical properties of spider webs, climbing into a portable planetarium, watching vampire blood demos, and more.

Spooktacular is free and open to the public.
