This 1930s pump belonged to the Magnolia Petroleum Company. Known for its famous red Pegasus logo, Magnolia was founded in 1911 from the consolidation of several oil companies with ties to the early Texas oil discoveries. In 1959, Magnolia merged with Mobil, which adopted the Pegasus logo that can still be seen atop the Magnolia Hotel in Dallas.
