7 p.m. | Pedal Steel Noah
Pedal Steel Noah (Noah Faulkner) is a 17-year-old musician based in Austin who won hearts with his daily Instagram videos, which feature him covering '80s and '90s hits on pedal steel. His brother plays bass, and their dog Kara looks on. Texas Monthly recently featured Noah for their “Best Thing In Texas” series, saying, “In an Austin revival of a traditionally Nashville sound, Faulkner brings the sliding notes and deep vibrato of pedal steel to his Gen Z peers.”
8 p.m. | San Gabriel
Named after the river where countless summer nights were spent skateboarding, learning guitar, and jamming with childhood bands, San Gabriel features three-time Austin Music Award recipient James Bookert (Whiskey Shivers/Wild Child) splitting duties as writer, singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist. Fusing '80s style synth hooks with modern reverb-drenched guitars and synthesizers, San Gabriel creates a kaleidoscopic, nostalgic dream-pop sound.
