7 p.m. | Sentimental Family Band
Sentimental Family Band is an Austin-based country outfit of Camille Lewis, Kyle Albrecht, and Matthew Shepherd. After a decade of playing in some of Austin’s most beloved indie bands (Tele Novella, Molly Burch, Sun June, Dana Falconberry), the three friends formed Sentimental Family Band to pursue their mutual obsession with the sound of midcentury country records. Regular gigs at local honky-tonks Sagebrush, The White Horse, and Sam’s Town Point have honed the band’s sound into a shaded nook of '60s-styled country aimed to keep two-steppers on the dancefloor.
8 p.m. | Luke Bulla
Luke Bulla has been singing and playing music most of his life. Touring with and singing in his family band from the age of four, he started playing the fiddle at seven. Entering Nashville’s Grand Master Fiddle Championship at age 10, Bulla distinguished himself by being the youngest person to have made the top 10. He’s a longtime member of Lyle Lovett’s Large Band. In addition to violin, he plays guitar and mandolin, performing his own original folk-country-American-tinged songs.
