High Noon Talk: Thursday Night Lights
August 1, 2018 12:00pm - 1:00pm
A little known piece of Texas history just in time for football season
Held on the first Wednesday of every month, High Noon Talks highlight interesting and often untold topics through this casual lunch-time lecture.
Just in time for the start of football season, join author Michael Hurd for a talk on this book Thursday Night Lights which tells an inspiring, largely unknown story. Hurd recounts how African American high school football programs produced championship teams and outstanding players during the Jim Crow era.
