About the Artists

Montopolis is an indie chamber music group from Austin, Texas that performs the works of composer Justin Sherburn. Their music combines rock, electronic, and ambient compositions into modern classical arrangements with inventive instrumentation to create "stunning and transcendent" (Austin Chronicle) concerts.

Their programs often combine live music with video and interactive storytelling. The Montopolis's live score to the film Man with a Movie Camera has toured nationally for the last year. The Montopolis concerts that highlight Texas history and culture tour performing arts centers and museums across the state. Montopolis is a member of the Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Roster.
