H-E-B Free First Sunday
December 1, 2019 12:00pm - 5:00pm
Join friends and neighbors to celebrate what makes our community special. Engage in art making, storytime, and shared experiences designed to showcase how each of us make our community a special place.
Enjoy FREE exhibition admission all day during Free First Sundays, held the first Sunday of every month. Families can explore the Story of Texas through three floors of exhibitions that showcase artifacts from around the state.
Join us from 12-3pm for these special activities:
- Engage the whole family through interactive paper sewing projects that explore shape, words, and connection with Creative Action.
- Indulge yourself with a healthy snack thoughtfully prepared by Common Threads.
- Explore what home means to you and consider how homes can look different for others with an activity provided by Caritas of Austin.
- Listen to stories about what makes a place a home.
Please note: The State of Texas is building a new fully pedestrianized green space between the Bullock Texas State History Museum and the Texas Capitol. The Museum and its parking garage remain open during construction. Surface parking lots and most parking meters will not be available for the duration of the construction project.
