Event Details
Commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month at Austin Museum Day and explore Texas cultures through engaging conversations and hands-on activities. This year we will celebrate Canary Islanders and their descendants in Texas. Enjoy FREE admission for all three floors of Texas History and join drop-in activities designed with the whole family in mind from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Special family programs combine art creation, activity stations, and in-gallery discovery centers.'
Activities
- Interact with the Canary Islands Descendants Association and discover their story.
- Become a voyager and learn wayfinding techniques, provided by MathHappens.
- Join Austin Public Library at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month through songs, activities, and stories.
