SNAP and WIC benefits recipients can explore the Bullock Museum for free through the next year

The Museum is proud to offer free exhibition admission through the Museums for All program

December 26, 2023 (AUSTIN, TX) — The Bullock Texas State History Museum, with support from the Texas State History Museum Foundation, is once again the proud recipient of a Union Pacific Railroad Community Ties Giving Program grant. The grant enables the Museum to extend the provision of free exhibition admission through the Museums for All Program to those receiving food assistance.

"This meaningful support from Union Pacific helps us remove barriers to learning about Texas history regardless of economic status," said Bullock Museum Director Margaret Koch. "We are honored to continue our participation in the Museums for All program."

Families who participate in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) can gain free exhibition admission by presenting their EBT card onsite at the Bullock Museum's ticketing counter. Free admission is available for EBT cardholders and any accompanying family or guests. Admission provides access to all exhibition galleries, including the Museum's three floors of Texas History Galleries and special exhibitions.

Union Pacific's Community Ties Giving Program provides small- and medium-sized grants that align with the railroad's priority cause areas in safety, workforce development and community spaces.

“Union Pacific proudly supports organizations that improve the quality of life where our employees live and work,” said Liisa Stark, Vice President, Public Affairs. “Investing in high-quality, nonprofit programs puts our communities in a position for future growth and prosperity.”
