This hat was custom made for Stevie Ray Vaughan by the famous Lockhart, Texas haberdasher, Texas Hatters. It sports a faux animal tail, the weight of which ensures that the hat sits naturally on the wearers head at a rakish angle.
This object was on display in the special exhibition Pride & Joy: The Texas Blues of Stevie Ray Vaughan which runs through July 23rd, 2017.
