Depression-Era Booklet To Help Struggling Farmers
Texas Agricultural Service took on education and outreach to meet the crisis

The challenges that Texas farmers faced during the Great Depression and Dust Bowl era may have seemed insurmountable.
To help farmers cope with day-to-day life, the Texas Agricultural Service published booklets like this one on dozens of topics from insect control to safe canning methods to landscaping techniques. The organization continues to serve the state of Texas by providing agricultural education as the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.
