Enjoy a 1920s night with your Valentine at the Bullock Museum!

Join us for an exclusive screening of Wings, shot in Texas and the first film ever to win an Academy Award for Best Picture. Featuring "It Girl" Clara Bow, Gary Cooper, and Buddy Rogers, this iconic silent film will be accompanied by a live score performed by award-winning Austin composer Graham Reynolds in the Bullock IMAX Theatre.

Dress to impress in your roaring 1920s best and grab a drink from the cash bar during the Bullock's Speakeasy Reception. 

Event Details

Join the Bullock Museum for a screening and live score of the Texas-shot film, Wings, as part of the Bullock's Texas Focus film series. This event will take place in the Bullock IMAX Theatre.

  • Included with your ticket is a 6:00 p.m. Speakeasy Reception with a cash bar. Don't worry, no secret password needed!
  • Film screening from 7:00 p.m.- 9:30 p.m. in the IMAX Theatre with live score from Graham Reynolds and accompaniment.

About the Film

With World War I afoot, David Armstrong and Jack Powell join the military with an eye toward flying American fighter planes. They leave behind Mary Preston, a local girl who's in love with David but committed to Jack. Dispatched to France as newly minted pilots, the men take to the skies in one of the war's climactic air battles, and as frantic Mary longs for the safe return of both men, one pays the ultimate price for his bravery.
