Highlighting the work of women filmmakers
Unique to the Bullock Museum, the bi-monthly series Femme Film Fridays highlights women's voices in cinematic arts.
Films featured in the series showcase women's contributions to film—both behind and in front of the camera—with 2017-2018 films curated around the season theme of "identity." Femme Film Fridays is presented in partnership with Women & Their Work with media sponsorship by Austin Woman Magazine and alcohol sponsorship by Austin Cocktails. Following the film screenings, attendees participate in Q & A sessions with scholars, actors, and writers, examining the film's relevance to the modern world.
