Parking
The Museum's underground parking garage can accommodate vehicles with a maximum height of 7ft. There are two designated spaces for handicapped accessible vans with a maximum height of 8'2". Vehicles with a valid handicapped parking permit may receive free parking. The Parking Garage entrance is located on the south side of the Museum on 18th Street, just off North Congress Avenue. Please call (512) 936-8746 for information on where to park Buses, Motorcoaches, RVs and other large vehicles.

There is a pre-pay charge of $8 at the garage.The fee covers full day parking (no re-entry). Visitors to the Museum will receive a $2 rebate when they purchase Museum and/or Theater tickets, a Membership, or make a $5 purchase in the Museum Store, provided that they present the cashier with their parking ticket. The Cafe does not offer rebates on parking.
Become a member and receive FREE parking passes! Museum Members may use free parking vouchers. If they have used their free vouchers, then they are subject to pre-pay rules, and are eligible to receive a $2 refund at the ticketing center or the Museum Store.

Pre-paid Parking Vouchers
Having difficulty finding parking near the University of Texas or the Capitol Complex? Now you can purchase a booklet of 20 pre-paid parking vouchers to the Museum's underground parking garage at the Museum's Ticket Center. The booklet costs $150 and includes coupons for the Museum Store, the Story of Texas Cafe and the IMAX Theatre. Parking vouchers are valid Monday through Friday only, and cannot be used on any U.T. home football game day. For unlimited free parking, please consider purchasing a Story of Texas Society Membership.
Directions
The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum is located at 1800 N. Congress Avenue at the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. in downtown Austin, Texas. With close proximity to Interstate Highway 35 and MoPAC Expressway (Loop 1), the Museum is easy to access.
