High Noon Talk: Texas BBQ

Programs

December 2, 2015 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Become a Texas BBQ expert.

Held on the first Wednesday of every month, High Noon Talks highlight interesting and often untold topics through this lunch-time lecture.

In December, learn about the origins of Texas BBQ and hear about the best BBQ spots around the state from Daniel Vaughn, Texas Monthly BBQ editor and author of The Prophets of Smoked Meat. From pitmasters' recipes to tales from the road, Vaughn will share the good and the bad, the ugly and the great of Texas's most sacred institution.

About Daniel Vaughn

In a former life, the Dallas-based Vaughn was an architect and a mere barbecue hobbyist, eating, reviewing, and writing about smoked meats for his popular blog, Full Custom Gospel BBQ. Then, in March 2013, hobby turned to profession, as he became the country’s one and only barbecue editor.
