Drop in each day during the week and explore the nutrition of our food, and learn approaches to healthy living.

Join us each day between April 11th and 15th as the Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living takes over our Whole Foods Market Tasting Kitchen. Faculty and staff from the Center, which is part of the UTHealth School of Public Health in Austin, will host a variety of events and activities between 11:30am and 1:00pm From interactive cooking demonstrations to nutrition presentations, the Center will reveal how Our Global Kitchen relates to Center research, community outreach, and collaborations.

Monday: Celebration and Introductions

Join Center Director Dr. Deanna Hoelscher for an overview of the week's events and then learn about the importance of "eating the rainbow" in the Tasting Kitchen.

Tuesday: Early Childhood Nutrition

Learn why its so important to start kids off early in forming lifelong habits of healthy eating.

Wednesday: Cooking Demonstrations

Learn how to prep healthy and fun meals with Dietetic Interns from the University of Texas School of Public Health.

Thursday: CATCH Day

Join staff of the CATCH (Coordinated Approach to Child Health) to find out how much sugar really is in your soda and participate in physical challenges as part of the Museum's Science Thursday program.

Friday: Grow a School Garden

Learn how to start a school garden with the GROW! EAT! GO! project.
