Students from all over Texas bring their projects to the state-level history contest.

Event Details

Each year thousands of students, encouraged by teachers and parents statewide, participate in the National History Day program in Texas.  On April 28, thousands of Texas students will bring their projects to be judged at the Texas state-level competition. The winners of this competition will move on to the National History Day competition in summer 2018.

At the Bullock Museum and at the University of Texas at Austin, students will present their exhibits, websites, papers, theater performances, and documentaries. Many of these competitions allow the public to view the projects.  At the Bullock Museum, the public can view the exhibit competition from 2:00-4:00pm.
