With advance reservations, groups of 20 or more are eligible for:

• Guided tours offered upon request. We also can customize the tour around your group’s interests, including military history, art history and many more topics. Tours subject to availability in April and May.
• Complimentary admission for commercial tour bus drivers
• Discounts in The Story of Texas Cafe
• Discounted admission prices to the exhibit areas.
• Discounted admission prices and guaranteed seating in the Texas Spirit Theater and IMAX Theatre
• A monthly e-mail newsletter containing information about upcoming exhibits, films and group activities and discounts

Logistics

• Reservations are required at least 10 business days in advance. Groups arriving at the Museum without making reservations will be required to pay regular Museum ticket prices.
• Museum Members may not be counted within the group of 20. Members receive unlimited free exhibit admission and discounted theater admission.
• To receive the group discount, one person must pay for the entire group. The TSHM will accept business or organization checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and cash. We cannot accept personal checks or purchase orders.
• A $50 deposit is required for group reservations in the Texas Spirit Theater or IMAX Theatre. Your theater reservations are subject to cancellation if we do not receive your deposit at least 10 days in advance. Deposits will be fully refunded to groups canceling their reservations in writing at least ten days in advance. Cancellations may be faxed to (512) 936-4689.
• You may change your reservation (add or subtract people in your group) at the time of your arrival. However, if the total number of people in your group drops to less than 20, your group will be required to pay regular Museum ticket prices. The addition of people to your group theater reservation is limited to the number of available seats remaining in the theater(s).
• Buses may drop off and pick up passengers in the designated area in front of the Museum on North Congress Avenue. The group will be met in the Museum rotunda area by a staff member. The group leader will check in and handle financial arrangements at the Museum Ticketing Line while a tour staff member orients the group.
• Please arrive at least 20minutes before your first scheduled presentation. Groups that arrive late cannot be admitted to presentations that are already underway in the Texas Spirit Theater or the IMAX Theatre.
• Refunds will only be made in the event of equipment or power failure.
