Wednesday Workshops: Odes to Objects from the Past

Create your own artifact or work of art to remember your museum visit. This more in-depth drop-in program is great for families with kids ages six and up

Odes to Objects from the Past: Tour the galleries with Badgerdog writer and teaching artist Amanda North. We’ll explore and discuss artifacts from different time periods in Texas history. We’ll then explore the ode—a poetic form of celebration—and write our own odes to objects from Texas’s past.

Limited capacity. Tickets to reserve your spot are available at the ticket counter first come, first served on day of event starting at 10am. Workshop will last 90+minutes. Families are encouraged to bring snacks. Please consider potential allergies of others in workshop when choosing your snacks.

This Wednesday Workshop is put on in partnership with the Austin Public Library Friends Foundation's Badgerdog Creative Writing Program.
