High Noon Talk: Seeing Texas History

Programs

December 7, 2016 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Hear the story behind some of Texas's most important artifacts.

Held on the first Wednesday of every month, High Noon Talks highlight interesting and often untold topics through this casual lunch-time lecture.

Join us for an in depth exploration of select artifacts from the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History, some of which have been displayed at the Museum and are featured in the new book, Seeing Texas History. Ben Wright, Assistant Director for Communications at the Briscoe Center will share details on artifacts from their collection and their importance to Texas history. The book, commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Bullock Texas State History Museum, is also a celebration of years of partnership between the Museum and the lenders like the Briscoe Center whose artifacts have graced the galleries. Come for the talk, explore the exhibits with a newfound appreciation of the artifacts on display and pick up a copy of the book in the Museum Store.
