Family Workshop

Programs

December 10, 2016 1:00pm - 2:00pm

This interactive family workshop will make connections to the exhibition State of Deception: The Power of Nazi Propaganda.

View a live performance of Stille Nacht, a 20 minute play that confronts the German propaganda campaigns of the 1930s through the eyes of a brother and sister gathering over the holidays in the rural village of Parchim. Following the performance families will join Austin Public Library's Badgerdog Creative Writing Program to engage in guided discussion and writing to understand the harmful consequences of a divided society while exploring the meaning and power of tolerance.  Ideal for families with children ages 10 and up. Program is FREE for members or with exhibit admission. Registrations are requested for planning purposes, but not required.
