From Brazilian writer/director Anna Muylaert (The Second Mother), a low-budget, understated character study of a 17-year old young man, who lives a gender-fluid life and explores different gender roles in dress and behavior, discovers that the woman he calls his mother is not.

Upon returning to his biological parents he finds that the open acceptance of his life is gone.
