Create Your Own: Historic Writing Kit

Programs

December 29, 2015

Workshops at 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.

How did people write letters in the 17th and 18th centuries with few supplies from the store? They made their own. In this workshop, you will make your own writing kit to take home.

Kids and families will make and take home their own artifacts in this art workshop. Each workshop features a short talk followed by hands-on art making. Ideal for families with children ages six and up, this experience is about 40 minutes in length.

Support for the Bullock Museum's exhibitions and education programs provided by the Texas State History Museum Foundation.

Museum members may make advance reservations by calling 512-936-4649. The program is first-come, first-served, and space is limited. Pick up a boarding pass (free with Museum admission) when you arrive.
