Getting Around the Museum
All exhibit areas are accessible by elevators or stairs. If you need assistance entering the IMAX® Theatre, notify a theater host in the IMAX® Theatre Lobby. Elevators are available from the parking garage to the Plaza which leads to the Museum's main entrance. Service animals are welcome in the Museum. All service animals must remain on a leash or harness at all times. Please note that there are uneven floor surfaces some Exhibit spaces.

Wheelchairs
A limited number of wheelchairs are available on a first come, first served basis at the Visitor Information Desk and Ticket Center in the Museum's First Floor Lobby. There is no rental fee for wheelchairs; however, visitors must leave valid photo identification to be held at the Visitor Information Desk until the wheelchair is returned.

Restrooms
Accessible restrooms are located on all floors of the Museum. A family restroom is located on the first floor off the hallway between the First Floor Lobby and IMAX Theatre Lobby.

Water Fountains
Accessible water fountains are located throughout the Museum near the restrooms.

Exhibits and Programs
All exhibit areas, theaters, and demonstrations are wheelchair accessible. While all exhibits are visual, many media exhibits have tactile and audio elements that invite visitor participation. Acoustiguide audio tours for the visually impaired are available, free of charge, at Ticketing.

All audio visual programs in the Museum's Exhibit Areas have open captioning for the hearing impaired. Assistive listening devices are available at the Visitor Information Desk for all media exhibits.

Assistive listening devices are also available at the Texas Spirit Theater and the IMAX® Theatre, contact a theater host for assistance.

Audio descriptions are available for The Star of Destiny show in the Texas Spirit Theater.

Rear Window captioning is available for all Star of Destiny presentations for visitors who are Deaf or hard of hearing. Notify a theater host to request a system.
