Revealing Character Essay Contest
Top Finalists recognized

The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in partnership with the Austin American-Statesman Inside Line and Frost Bank sponsored the Revealing Character: What is Character? Essay Contest. Readers in the adult and youth categories shared their thoughts on what Character meant to them. Finalists were announced in a reception at the Museum on April 14.

Pictured above are first place winners Fred Afflerbach of Cedar Park, TX and Matthew Cocco of Austin, TX who each received a Dell laptop computer, provided by Frost Bank. Also pictured are John Oncken, Executive Vice-President Frost Bank; Jeff Simecek, Inside Line Manager; and Lynn Denton, Museum Director.

Finalists in the adult category were:
Mel Daniels, Shari Janek, Jacob Johnson, DeeAnn Toro and Heather Willard. Youth category finalists were: Lisa Callahan, Alexandra Noll, Mateo Salazar, Spencer Smith and Marshall Yaklin.
