The fate of the galaxy rests in the hands of bitter rivals. One, James T. Kirk (Chris Pine), is a delinquent, thrill-seeking Iowa farm boy. The other, Spock (Zachary Quinto), was raised in a logic-based society that rejects all emotion. As fiery instinct clashes with calm reason, their unlikely but powerful partnership is the only thing capable of leading their crew through unimaginable danger, boldly going where no one has gone before!

A Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment presentation, Star Trek stars John Cho, Ben Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Winona Ryder, Zoë Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, with Eric Bana andLeonard Nimoy. Directed by J.J. Abrams (Mission Impossible: III, Lost, Alias), written by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, and based upon Star Trek created by Gene Roddenberry. Star Trek: The IMAX Experience is rated PG-13 and will debut in Austin's only IMAX Theatre at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum concurrently with the nationwide release in conventional theatres.

Star Trek: The IMAX Experience opens at the IMAX Theatre on Friday, May 8, 2009, and runs through Thursday, May 21, 2009. Ticket prices for this feature-length film are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors/military/students (with college ID) and $9 for youth ages 18 and under. The IMAX Theatre is located in the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum at 1800 N. Congress Avenue at the corner of Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
