Volunteer Benefits
The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum offers many benefits for its volunteers. These benefits include free exhibit admission, free parking and Museum membership.In addition volunteers receive special sneak previews of special exhibits, educational programs and new IMAX films. The Museum hosts winter and spring recognition parties for volunteers and provides continuing education and enrichment sessions.
The Museum offers the following membership benefits for volunteers. Benefits are based on hours of service.
Beginning Volunteer with up to 50 hours of service will receive:
• Free parking while volunteering
• Free admission to exhibits
• Two (2) free Texas Spirit Theater tickets
Texas Compadre Volunteer with 50 hours of service will receive a Single membership ($35 value) which includes:
• Four (4) free parking passes
• Free admission to exhibits
• 10% discount in the Museum Store
• 10% discount in the Story of Texas Cafe on purchases of $5 or more
• One(1) free Texas Spirit Theater ticket
• One(1) free IMAX® Theatre standard ticket
• Advance reservations and discounts on education programs
• $1 Off additional theater tickets
• $1 Off tickets for full-length feature films in the IMAX Theatre
• Discounts at other history museums through the Time Travelers Program
• Express Member Ticketing
• Subscription to the monthly e-newsletter, The eStar
Texas Diplomat Volunteer (1 silver star pin) with 100 hours of service will receive:
• A Dual Membership ($45 value)
Texas Ambassador Volunteer (2 silver star pins) with 250 hours of service will receive:
• A Family Membership ($60 value)
Texas Star Volunteer (3 silver star pins) with 500 hours of service will receive:
• A Family Plus Membership ($85 value)
Texas Champion Volunteer (4 silver star pins) with 1000 hours of service will receive:
• A Theater Club Membership ($150 value)
Texas Legend Volunteer (bronze star pin) with 2000 hours of service will receive:
• A Bronze Star Society Membership ($250 value)
