What do I need to bring for entry into the Museum?
You will need to bring your Membership Card as well as your photo ID.
What happens if I forget to bring my Membership Card?
The staff at the Visitor Information Desk in the Museum Lobby can issue a one-time temporary card that can be used for the day. You will need to show a photo ID.
What do I do if my Membership Card was lost or stolen?
New cards can be purchased for $10 at the Visitor Information Desk or over the phone and will take five to seven business days for processing.
What portion of my Membership contribution is tax deductible?
In accordance with IRS guidelines, the following outlines the tax deductible portions of each of our membership levels. Members must waive some or all of their membership benefits to claim tax deductibility for the entire cost of the membership.
Single - All but $24 may be considered tax deductible.
Dual - All but $36 may be considered tax deductible.
Family - Due to the high value of this Membership level, none of your membership gift may be considered tax deductible.
Family Plus - All but $78 may be considered tax deductible.
Theater Club - Due to the high value of this Membership level, none of your membership gift may be considered tax deductible.
Bronze Star Society - All but $173 may be considered tax deductible ($77 is deductible).
Texas Spirit Society - All but $191 may be considered tax deductible ($309 is deductible).
Story of Texas Society - All but $215 may be considered tax deductible ($785 is deductible).
Do I need reservations for the IMAX Theatre?
While it is recommended that Members make reservations to ensure seating, reservations are never required for regular public showings of either the IMAX films or the Texas Spirit Theater presentations. Weekend shows are more likely to sell out. Reservations are required for special screenings.
How long does my Membership last?
Memberships at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum are annual. They are good for one year from the date of purchase.
Will the Museum send me a renewal reminder?
Yes, the Museum will notify you 60-90 days prior to your expiration date to renew your membership. Remember to renew early so you do not have an interruption in your membership benefits. Click here to renew your membership.
Can I become a Member online?
Yes, we have a secure online application for becoming a Member or giving a gift Membership to a friend or loved one. Click here for the online application. Please allow at least 2 weeks for receipt of your membership packet. If you are planning a trip to the Museum sooner, it is recommended that you purchase your membership during your visit.

Where do I park? Is parking free for Members?
Entrance to the garage is located on 18th Street between N. Congress and Colorado Streets. Parking is free for Members for a limited number of visits, according to your Membership level. Don't forget to bring one of the free parking passes that you received with your Membership packet when parking in the Museum's underground garage. Membership cards may not be substituted for parking passes.
