Encounter Texas heroes and legends, natural history, archaeology, and more in these five day history adventures while exploring three floors of interactive exhibits.  Celebrate Texas stories in the Star of Destiny special presentation and in Texas: The Big Picture on the six story high screen in the IMAX theater.  Discover how the history of Texas was created and share your experiences using traditional storytelling, multimedia, games, art projects, and more! All Camp Teachers are Texas Certified Teachers, and child to teacher ratio is never more than 1:10. 

All camps sessions meet from 9am to 4pm, and before and after care is available.  There are scholarships available on a first come, first serve basis.

Beginning with the arrival of humans more than 12,000 years ago, Texas has always been the kind of place people have wanted to call home.  In this exciting camp, you will participate in a land race, design a kid-governed settlement, and discover your own true pioneering Texas spirit!

Explore darkness and the night.  From prehistoric time to now, darkness and the night sky have fascinated humankind.  From the many creatures that live in dark places, including caves, the ocean depths and below ground, to the mysterious inhabitants of the evening sky, come "shed some light" on nightfall!


Can You Dig It Archaeology Camp

Become a history detective! Have you ever wondered what it was like to be an archaeologist in Texas?  Find out in this week long program.  You will learn from the experts how to map squares, excavate and identify artifacts, and even design your own museum exhibit!  Through hands-on activities, tours, and field trips, you will follow the clues and discover ancient secrets.
