Students explore how Texas: The Big Picture and the Museum exhibits tell the Story of Texas. Using the award-winning Educator's Guide, Museum educators will guide your students through grade specific activities to:

  • Experience the myth, majesty and magnitude of the Lone Star State with Texas: The Big Picture
  • Set the Stage - look at the themes in the film and the exhibits.
  • Picture This - prepare to visit the exhibits.
  • Get the Picture - use data collection sheets to elaborate on the film's themes in the exhibits.
  • The Bigger Picture - prepare for extending film and exhibit topics and projects in the classroom.

Fees of $7 per student, $4.50 per teacher and $7 per chaperone include:

  • Program orientation: preparing students for film viewing and exhibit activities with Museum educators.
  • Texas: The Big Picture in the IMAX Theatre.
  • Guided learning activities in the exhibits through an in-depth focus on specific themes by grade levels, as outlined in the Educator's Guide.

Reservations must be made at least 10 business days in advance.
