Scholarships

The Story of Texas Scholarship Fund awards youths (age 18 and under) admission to the exhibits, Texas Spirit Theater presentations, and IMAX® Theatre films. Scholarships may be awarded to youths visiting the Museum as: 1) part of an organized school group field trip, or 2) part of a group organized by approved non-profit organizations with 501(c)(3) status.

Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis pending approval and the existence of funds. In order to be considered for a Scholarship, applicants must fax or mail a completed application to the Museum. It is recommended that groups make a reservation when submitting an application.

In lieu of a cash deposit, tickets for Theater reservations must be picked up at least one hour prior to the reserved showtime. If tickets are not picked up one hour in advance, they will be released for public purchase.

Groups qualifying for Scholarships will receive confirmation prior to their Museum visit. A brief survey is also required to be completed for groups who accept Scholarship funds. The survey form is available below and is also sent with the confirmation packet.  If a Scholarship confirmation has not been received or you have any questions, please contact Melanie Grabowske at (512) 463-3308 or email Melanie.Grabowske@thestoryoftexas.com Subject Line: Scholarships.
