A trip to the Museum will meet the learning goals of your students and enhance classroom curriculum while reinforcing the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) objectives in Social Studies, Language Arts, Math, Science and Art.
The content of the core exhibits is divided into "chapters" of the Story of Texas that explore different eras and events. The Museum provides a listing of social studies TEKS alignments for each chapter for grades K-4 and 5-8. For questions about TEKS alignment in other subjects, please contact the education department at Education@TheStoryofTexas.com.
